  • THE AGE OF MEDIOCRACY
  •  
  • Mediocracy, or rule by mediocrity, is here. Many of my ancestors and descendents have said and will say it thousands of years before and in the future with little results.
  • Whether it is a natural result of democracy, a product of cultural decay, human entropy, or a combination of them, it is not quite clear yet, but the clues of its brooding have been available for long.
  • Mediocracy is a euphemism for our quasi sophisticated form of low-brow self-satisfaction.
  • So dedicated to self praise and empty pride that it could be promoted to "self-destructive" if it used any logic. And,.make no mistake again, there is a triumphant form of mediocre logic.
  •  In a democracy, mediocracy risks to become ochlocracy, or " rule by the mob'  
  • In our society, today’s ochlocracy tends toward absurd sex, reversed racism and disguised hyperfeminism.
  •  
  • Life turns out to be the most disposable condition.
  • Liberty is sheer wishful thinking, because we are hierarchical and yielding to mediocrity's brute power. Then, we know no more about liberty than about life.
  • "Pursuit of Happiness" is an artificial and mysterious substitute for the reality of flight from danger into survival.
  • Many vote-seekers declare social order as oppressive, but they want that same oppressive government to impose their own social scenario, where mediocrity is irresistible kf properly labeled.
    Namely, oppression (like Inquisition) in their favor is "social justice".
  •  "Justice” is another imposed euphemism for the ultra-liberal or ultraconservative contrived interpretation.
  • Hyper-feminism rejects the natural hierarchy, the gender-conditioned differences, and attributes all behavior to arbitrary social conditioning, even when it is genetic.
  • The hyper-feminist dogmatic judgment that girls' taste for dolls and boys' play with guns and trucks were forced by despotic parental influence persisted for quite a few years on the intimidated politicians, "politically correct" psychologists and educators who accepted the theory to get feminist women's votes.
    And the rest of the world obviously laughted about it...
  • And many Americans and I wrote ndignantly about it...
     
  • Then, after years of evidence to the contrary, the psychologists and kindergartens returned to reality after one generation had been harmed psychologically...
  • Remarkably, no study has been conducted by the re- educated enlightened educators about what happened to the boys who were enticed into playing with dolls and girls "liberated" with trucks, guns and cement mixers.
  • Sacrificing the natural realities to feminist and leftist "rights", "equality" and "freedoms", against historical and scientific evidence creates much worse problems, and sacrifices women and "minorities", beside men and boys..
  •  
  • Leftist liberalism and socialism consign man to a "liberty" no one can handle.
    Without the beneficial discipline of a hierarchical society, family and rules, man finds liberty too difficult to manage and falls into drugs, depression and crime.
  • Sex is incongruously distorted into male oppression by the ultra-feminists and neutered into a unisexual equality.
    But sex is an amoral primordial urge with nature-dictated taboos and raw power that we can neither understand nor change (fortunately).
  • But who is mediocre, anyhow?
  • A newspaper editor told me smugly, "You must understand that the average readers are 8th-graders. Therefore, we lose money if we publish anything above that level."
  • Well, that editor was mediocre, not the "average reader", because he imposed the supposed mediocre level of the 8thgraders.
  • If Shakespeare had thought that way, he would not have produced what he did. He would have been mediocre himself.
    Mediocre editors embalm themselves in proud mediocrity.
  • Mediocrity is a level we choose, because even a dumb person can choose a higher level and feel comfortable on it.
  • Politicians and many other people feel more comfortable manipulating a dumb or dumbed-down public too what is really their own level.
  • People who are too lazy to keep learning and progressing keep joining mediocrity.
  • And those who manipulate them entice them with: "I speak to the most demanding and sophisticated people in the world: YOU!"
  • Where is the little boy who cries that the emperor has no clothes?
  • AMERICAN DECAY
  •  
  • There was a time in which America was the country of opportunity.
  • "Country of opportunity" meant an open door to enterprising and courageous people.
  • That is what attracted immigrants. They also called it Freedom.
  •  
  • Daring, creativity, hard work, ambition, persistence, trail-blazing, knowledge, courage, risk, and all qualities connected with them were free to play.
  • Then, those who wanted to protect the achieved progress started to issue laws upon laws to "protect" (regulate) progress.
  • These laws obtained the opposite result' because they contraflopped.
  •  
  • As the progress is mostly the result of competitive struggle, it also produces a continuously shrinking number of winners and an increasing crowd of losers.
  • It is this crowd that the laws were intended to protect.
    But the laws were -and are still now- so crude, that they tended to protect mediocrity at the expense of excellence.
  • Most unions and associations do it. 
  • The legislators had to be elected and reelected by a majority that was increasingly composed by mediocre people more interested in cutting their own slice than in any proggress.
  • As the population increased, so increased also the relative number of the mediocre, until they became the overwhelming voting majority.
  •  
  • Somehow, politicians were no longer the inspiring leaders they used to be (or, were they ever?).
    Perhaps they or their constituents were afraid of excellence.
  •  
  • Excellence is feared by those who suspect they will be required to strive for it and work to deserve it. 
  • Those who don't strive often experience a feeling of guilt for not trying. They become unable to accept a status inferior to that of those who try hard and succeed.
  • They must conceal their discontent and sublime it with humanitarian endeavors, which are much easier to pursue rhetorically and require no heroic qualities.
    So starts the vindication of the "little man", the "man of the street", which is also a decent cause.
  • As most causes have their exploiters, the human vultures feed on the weak and needy through numerous channels that infiltrate labor unions, politics, institutions, local and national government...
  •  
  • That starts the decay of a prospering country, if nothing better intervenes.
  • What intervened or intervenes in America?
     
  • Elitism has become a dirty word resulting in disqualification of excellence by condemning its associated consequences.
  • For instance, improvements of educational standards are often opposed vehemently by calling them "elitism".
  •  
  • Supposedly, ominous social damages accrue to a community that attempts to raise its educational requirements.
    The alleged victims are those who don't find the wished jobs for lack of required education.
  • This is a blueprint for degrading the general tone of society through lowering professional, production, cultural, work, moral and virtually all standards that comprise a desurable society. 
  • Ultimately, it eliminates jobs in the attempts to securing them.
  • Then, we are surprised if the Europeans, the Orientals, and anyone who tries hard, outperform us in more and more fields.
    Fortunately for mediocracy, they are no better than we.
  •  
  • We are loaded with myriads of laws that force us to accept mediocrity rule and lower performance standards.
  • The new rules are dictated by the ever increasing number of unskilled people who become government bureaucrats because they find no jobs in the private sector.
  • Even university professorships are in a state of advanced contamination by pretentious mediocrity.

    Some universities show an astounding interest for shallow, forgettable non-cultures, because their study requires not even one fiftieth the effort and preconditions necessary for classic and Western cultures, which are thus viciously resented by the new "cultural elite"..
  •  
  • The loudest expressions of the hippies, untrained, unemployable, unteachable and disgruntled gravitate now toward the environment protection, peace movements, civil rights and labor laws. And peace on Earth.
  • They are all worthy and necessary causes, but they are so primitively and incompetently managed that they menace the very essence of American excellence.
    Then, they contaminate what they purport to protect.
  •  
  • First, they have contrived to make the real American hero -the entrepreneur, creator of progress and jobs- the most maligned and attacked member of our society.
  • He is now so oppressed by regulations, rules, bureaucratic requirements, superfluous and paralyzing procedures, that creativity and enterprise have become dangerous.
  •  
  • Nowadays, employers are considered exploiters who must be kept in check by a government bureaucracy, whose function is to protect the employees against the employers.
  • This boomerangs against the nation, for the present employee protection turns against the consumers, and we are all consumers (including employees and employers)...
  • Politicians know that they can get more votes from the employees than from the employers.
  • They go so far that now employers are required to post notices in their work places that instruct the employees how to assert their rights against the employer, how to suspect and control the employer, and what to do to attack the employer if he does not comply with some bureaucratic requirements, rules ad laws...
  • I invented new chemical products, started manufacturing them and hired employees who bought cars, houses etc. because of the jobs I created.
  • The government now forces me to post notices to tell my employees how to protect themselves against me...
  • This is done in such fashion, that a hostile adversary atmosphere is created where a productive cooperation existed before.
  •  
  • Every employer knows that treating the employees fairly is good business, for happy workers produce most and best.
    The government is not needed for this. It can only make things worse, for the government employees involved gain power and financing when there is trouble.
  • Therefore they are interested in creating employer-employee suspicion and hostility.
  • Employers who mistreat their workers are a short-lived minority. The government, however, warns the employee that the employer is a very likely malefactor and suborns the employee into overt, government protected, defiance...
  • "A house divided against itself...".
  •  Devotion is now branded with "servility", commitment to excellence with "elitism", hard work with "workaholism", ambition with "ego-mania", salesmanship (correction: salespersonship) with "greed and deception", knowledge with "pretension"...
  •  
  • When votes are gained at such price, national decay may be the unavoidable result. 
  •  
  •  
  • STUPIDITY BY FAD
  •  
  • One of today's fads is to parade our admiration for the youth, our abject support for the blacks, for the "minorities", for the woman and her equality, for homosexuality, our condemnation of racial differences, of the white males, of parental "oppression"...
  • Is all that from a complex of superiority the white patriarchal male feels guilty of?
  • Another fad is to show "intellectual" sophistication by criticizing respected traditions and the past.
    That makes today's intellectual behave like the spoiled teenagers who reject the adult traditions for the fads imposed by peer pressure.
  •  
  • Very common is the posture that seems to say: "Look how smart and sophisticated I am: I recognize my weaknesses and stupidity. I know that what I have been brought up to respect is old, obsolete and primitive.
    I am in line with today's trend". 
  •  
  • - Most of the addicted to "Multiculturalism" don't realize that the validity of such an interpretation is based on a vague concept of "multiple reality". This means not just multiple equally-valid interpretations (which invalidate each other with the same glibness of "you are entitled to your own opinion"), but the coexistence of different realities only because they are there, not because they have any particular validity or right to exist or prevail.

  • When we enjoy Tchaikowsky's "Nutcracker Suite", we naturally migrate into the world of "fantasy", with the tacit assumption that "fantasy" is not as valid as "reality"; but we do not allow that conviction to diminish the "reality" of the ballet as such.
  • While we watch it, the ballet is real, a parade of wooden soldiers or a flower dance is just as real.
    Their reality may be recognized only in the "validity" of our adjustment to a "ballet reality", but, at least during the ballet, we accept its reality the same as to the reality of taxes or imagination in the "real life".
  • It would be droll to seek the social security number, civil rights, or political correctness of the wooden soldiers or flowers, individually or as groups, while dancing or at rest.
  • Much of our "reality" can be interpreted from a game, or ritual dance perspective.
  • We are already familiar with the necessity to consider society or business and their laws as games and their rules. This has been, and continues to be, at least an analytical necessity, lest our vision would be distorted by our political, ethical, cultural, religious and other prejudices.
  • Two cogent points in question: famil and, man/woman relationship.
    They cannot be evaluated with the same criteria as other human groups or relationships.
  • If we could view the reality of the patriarchal family and the traditional roles of its members as if it were a ritual dance, and give equal validity to it as we give to whatever we consider "the real thing", we would validate what caused the successful aspects of the family and man/woman relationship in the past.
    We would not waste our time on incongruous thoughts about the "justice", or "freedom", or "equality" of any dance step.
    Just as a dance must be beautiful, harmonious, coherent, joyous, so should a family, a business, a society.
  • As we accept as obvious the steps of a dance that would seem inappropriate under other circumstances, so must we accept as self-evident family customs  or rules that would clash with our "civil rights", "equality" or other fetishes typical of our political or legal folklore.
  • We are destroying the family and man/woman harmony in the name of fads we legislate without understanding: freedom, equality, difference, human rights, integration, democracy, ochlocracy...
  • Family members can realize more than the freedom, equality or discipline of a club, business, work crew or military unit. In the family, devotion, love, unconditional devotion offer remarkably more than politically correct freedom, equality, discipline, human rights, and almost any human relationship.
  • We should have the courage to revive the rules and customs that contributed to the harmonnious dependability of the family in the past, without the pretentious assumption that we know better because we are "closer to the future".
  • The future of many cultures has been decay and obliteration, when the family was weakened.
  • No one can deny that the American family is decaying, as one of the least stable in the world.

  • With half (or more) of our marriages ending in divorces, we can hardly deny that our model is an arrogant disaster.
  • For over 70 years, the leftist government-centered "liberalism" has so successfully worn the benevolent mask of American freedom, compassion and social justice, that an incredibly large number of Americans don't perceive its ultimate socialist anti-family and anti-individual results..
  • Worse yet, it seems that the leftist elite is busy contaminating America with the same socialist virus that destroyed the Soviet Union.

  • We should not forget that the Soviet Union's lethal plague consisted in transferring the functions of the individual and family to government control, which is the goal of today's American liberals.

  • TREASON BY STUPIDITY
  •  When I was a teenager, at the very beginning of World War 2, in Italy, I heard of a disparaging comment by Mussolini that equated the probability of the Americans joining the war to the probability of a Martian invasion on Earth.
  • Mussolini's certainty was motivated by the solemn assurances by the American leadership, that no American soldier was going to be sent overseas, together with the hotly reiterated expressions of pacifism in Congress and the Senate.
  •  
  • If we go back to the previous violent undertakings by Hitler in Austria, in Rheinland, Czechoslovakia, there is considerable evidence that Hitler would not have dared those steps, had USA, Great Britain and France shown determination to use force if necessary.
    After that, Mussolini would have been at least very reluctant to join the war if USA had shown readiness to intervene if provoked.
  • In September 1938, during the Munich Agreement negotiations to appease Hitler, President F.D. Roosevelt wrote to Hitler:
  • "... the Government of the United States has no political obligation in Europe, and will assume no obligations in the conduct of present negotiations."

  • Firing MacArthur for his uttered firmness against China, paralyzing the objectives of the American armed forces in Korea and Vietnam, together with our politicians' publicized opposition to any military solution, have caused losses to America and the World that are worse than the massacres of the Jews in concentration camps.

  • The politicians who opposed the war in Vietnam asserted they wanted to spare unnecessary American casualties. Yet, they caused the largest number of American fatalities when they publicly and stupidly announced the date they would stop sending troops and and weapons to Vietnam, thereby giving the VietCong the possibility to unleash the worst attack, with all their forces, without any precaution, because they knew from Congress what the Americans would do, and when, and how the Americans would cease to react...
  • It is hard to imagine more murderous stupidity.Many Amerians warned about it, but they were ignored...
    If the enemy had paid them, they could not have betrayed their country more effectively.
    This fact is atrocious, considering the human losses it caused for no honorable reason whatsoever.

  • Now, again, we are afraid to offend and provoke other enemies...
  • We were afraid to offend the Ayatola, the terrorists, the hijackers, the Russians, the Libyans, the Iraqis, the North Koreans...
    History shows that we would save lives and avoid wars by showing determination and firmness, but our politicians ignore it in favor of their provincial knowledge and petty fears.
  • If they were not so stupid, they would deserve being convicted for probably high treason.

  • In Viet Nam, right or wrong, we should have fought to win.
  • History and nations honor victory.
  • We doubted and thought that it was better to lose than to win a wrong war. Now, we pay for it mercilessly.
  • The consequences are so vicious that we try to ignore what happened in Vietnam and surroundings...

  • Our hesitation in the Middle East did not help at all. Now, our Arab opponents and ex-friends hate and attack us even more.
  • Had we fought to win and won, our enemies would not have been suborned by anti-American propaganda, which is now rampaging unopposed, virulent and effective.
  • The Muslems are much more hostile to USA than against nations who colonized them mercilessly.

  • We failed because we allowed a sick "reason" to take the place of duty and patriotism.    
  • The "Reason" of our politicians mostly rationalizes.
    Its ability to find the just and the true is questionable.
  • Historically, there are always objections and invalidations of the previously accepted.
  • This is one of the traps of democracy at our present stage of evolution.
  • We succeed, as a nation, only when we agree and act, not just when we see and do nothing. If we agree on action, right or wrong, we have a chance to succeed.
  • When someone reveals the truth and submits it to discussion, he courts failure, because we are divided by disagreement, no matter how "self-evident" the "truth" is.

  • "Right or wrong it is my country" is now re-emerging as a time-proven solution to our dilemmas.

  • TRUTH VS. OPINION
  •  
  • It probably started with the electron, or proton, or whatever we know little about.
  • Then the atom, the molecule, the organic, the cell... Then, the wonder of life, slowly from chaos: motion, competition, struggle, survival, genetic memory, reproduction, evolution....
  • Our bodies learned how to live, feed and grow, long before developing an awareness of such functions, let alone understanding them.
  • Pain, pleasure, instincts guided us for millions of years before we knew how to perceive and think.
  •  
  • Sexual intercourse was originally pursued without knowing its reproductive purpose.
  • When we started to understand its consequences, we began to distort it with rules derived from our faulty interpretation. We created silly limitations, rituals, superstitions like circumcision and rules based on our interpretations rather than reality...
  • We developed the worship of the goddess Reason, who caused more trouble than superstition, because it was more removed from reality.
  • With all our intelligence, we don't know how to create life. Our bodies can.
  • Our cells can produce hormones, blood, neurons, bones, flesh... We cannot, even in the most sophisticated laboratories.
  •  
  • Our family and society were fully functional before we developed any opinion about them.
  • They kept functioning, succeeding and evolving before any civilization was developed.
  •  
  • Then came Reason...
  • Reason and opinions committed more blunders in any generation than instincts and bodily functions in millennia.
  • Our brain, intestines, genitals, or heart are more dependable than any politician, physician or lawyer.
  • They know and perform their functions flawlessly for as long as we live, without objections or opinions. Without asking for remunerations, rights or recognition.
  •  
  • Politicians, lawyers, clergymen and other high priests, on the other hand, are the ones with the highest presumption and the least knowledge.
    They dictate the rules governing the fundamental factors they don't understand.
  • They have invented "freedom", "rights", "punishment", "sin", "equality", "justice" and other arbitrary fictions as substitutes for reality.

  • HERCULES NEUTERED
  •  
  • The courage to stand alone against the whole world to assert one's own beliefs used to be considered a typical characteristic of masculinity.
  • A real man was not afraid of unpopularity or even persecution for the sake of what he believed in...
  •  
  • Well, nowadays this "masculine" attribute is being shown by people like the KuKluxKlan, the Nazis, the Gay-liberation movement, the Mafia, the Zionism, the Moslem terrorists...
  •  
  • The aggressive attitude of militant black movements is made "masculine" by the fear the majority of white males have of appearing anti-black.
  • The self-emasculation process of the white man is a phenomenon of the present time.
  • Finding an explanation for it is not simple. Or perhaps too simple to be believable; therefore we must dig into "cultural" matters. 
  • We could start with the elitist tendency of the Western world, which has cornered the majority of men into the "losing" corners, even those who are technically not losers because they never intended to compete..
  • Given democracy, these men -and women react with vengeance against an Establishment which becomes the scapegoat.
  • An easy achievement for the "losers" is to vindicate all losers in the name of “liberty-equality-fraternity”.
  •  
  • The task is epic, noble, Christian, beautiful, but conceptually simple enough for any level of education and intelligence: custom-made for mediocrity.
  • It has a price: no more heroism, trail-blazing, creativity, competition,  survival of the fittest and any of the attributes of "masculinity".
  • It is ideal for unions, civil-rightists, peace activists, feminazis, integrationists, downward-equalitarians, dogooders, bureaucrats, innocent idealists, people without skills, welfare-addicts, parasites, resentful white and black bigots, homosexuals, hippies, inexperienced students...
  •  
  • Their voting majority is overwhelming.
  • We distort a reality we don't understand into an artificial pattern we have improvised from the fetishes of mediocrity in the haste of a confused age.
  • We call this pattern "equal rights" and deform reality to fit it.
  • As usual, the progress devised by the competent is being implemented by the incompetent.
  • === The losers in the life competition become the majority, because the rightful winners can not be more than a continuously shrinking minority.
    With their negative approach and voting preponderance, the losers-turned-winners drag society into mediocrity and decay.
  • They are thus the dooming entropic force in any society.
  •  
  • === Talent and virtue must undergo the tests conducted by people without talent and virtue.
  •  
  • === Those who don't know how to create and produce are the ones who set controls on those who create and produce.
  • They aim to take from the rich and give to the poor, instead of increasing prosperity.
  •  
  • === Every democratic society seems to be so constituted that the losers tend to form the voting majority.
  •  
  • === The liberal do-gooders (I used to be a militant one) force society down to the mediocrity level that can be managed by the enforcing bureaucrats.
  • The lower this level is, the more the bureaucrats are inadequate. The more inadequate they are, the more despotic and vindictive.

  • === The more the mediocre get involved in knowledge, rights, work, justice, liberty, the more they debase them.
