Random Stupidity
Stupidity, nonsense, self-delusion, false assumption, bias...: all of them and more, no matter how well meant, end up being the final level into which originally lofty concepts slide in the minds of the prevailing mediocrity.

Yes, what are now equality, inalienable rights, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness....?.l
That is what our Framers proclaimed [by the way, the "Framers" are what we used to call "Founding Fathers", which designation would point out that there were no "Founding Mothers", which would gall the hyper-feminists].
Terms like "Framers", "Woodcarvers" or "bank robbers" would not inflame gender equal-rights sensitivities].
"All men were created equal".. Wrong, sexist, according to the
hyper-feminists...
Then "All men and women were created equal". But that's wrong too
We don't want men to start a fuss about being entitled to have uterus, breasts, Fallopian tubes. etc, like the women.
Nor do women relish having a beard, testicles and

chauvinism of the Founding
Fathers or Founding Parents) meant was... what we like to interpret.
Many
politicians push it to the extreme absurdity that the original
meaning is proclaimed to be observed, but it is totally disregarded.
Besides, "Framers" meant not only males, but white males (really "Caucasians", not just covered with titanium dioxide pigment). And white males with property, to be sure.
Let alone the fact that they were fat, thin, short, tall, diabetic,
arthritic, constipated, regular, healthy, anemic,
full-blooded, blond, black, albino, smart, stupid, sick, (by, the way, what is wrong
with any of them?), genetically endowed or not with who knows what other properties of
all known and unknown kinds...
That proves we were not created equal.
Did they mean equal under the law?
That is really only a sanctimonious
pretense, because every lawyer knows how to come up with the most unsuspected
"civil rights" (constitutional or not), like "jacks in the boxes".
Just think of the obscene equal-rights abuses by the lawyers who have taken over morality, justice, many courts, and everything else in the name of equal rights for crooks and saints.
Should we call the Founding fathers or mothers "Founding Parents"?
What if they have no children?
Then, forget "parents" lest the childless would feel hurt...
Wait: isn't God a He who justifies the "Founding Fathers"?
Why a He and not a She?
Well then, what need has God of male or female genitals?
Even if the real God was a He, he didn't have the right to be a He, or it would hurt

How is LIFE an inalienable right , or should
the inalienability be followed by an implicit "however", as in the

Beside, I never heard of men going to jail for making love with a skunk, mosquito or a cow, because it is not reproductive for men (or skunks, cattle or any non-human female with a human male, of course).
Obviously, we should exclude executions (except the billions of daily animal executions, because we have decided we must eat them.

In fact, we find special pride and glory in our histories, which are primarily descriptions of our achievements through horrible wars in which people are murdered with legal reasons and medals.
Every nation has its most impressive monuments and other celebrations dedicated to wars and their massacres; not to hospitals, food growing, schools or other life-saving and/or promoting entities.
And what about cemeteries?

Get up any day and tell yourself: "Today I am going to pursue happiness"
How?
By pursuing the love and favors of the person you love, adding the best spinnaker to your 36-foot sailboat, getting a dream tax-free mansion for free, inventing the best binder for a composite structure, outperforming your competitor's main product, enjoying a stay at your childhood friend's home in Leipzig, composing the most beautiful string quartet, finding a way to eat as much of what you like without indigestion or gaining weight...
I could add: making lots of money, but almost everyone knows how deceiving it is.
You just have to choose a definable and practical goal in which you can develop or work for a result that gives you happiness..
Happiness is a consequence, not a goal.
But even so, happiness is of surprisingly limited duration, if you don't keep going further ahead or up, as in the "Red Queen race"
Yes: higher yet.

The American's are the only nation in the world persisting in the most irrational, wastefully expensive, antiquated and cumbersome system of weight, length, volume , temperature measures.
Observe these comparisons of the American System (A.S.) with the Metric system (M. S.):
(A.S.)1 foot should represent the length of one foot or step. It is subdivided into 12 1nches.
1 inch should represent about the thickness of on thumb. It is subdivided in 1/64", 1/32" , 1/16", 1/8", 1/4" smallest used subdivision is the "mil", or 1.1000". 1 yard is 0.9144 meter. One mile is 5280 feet!...
Consider operating as follows: 34' 7" 3/4" 5/64" +21' 7/16' 364" x 15' 3/4" 3/8" 9/64" divided into 7' 3/4" + 34' 316". Without converting them of the decimal system (built into the metric measurements), the operation would be unbearably awkward.
(M.S) 1 meter is a precise, invariable measured distance of certain light travel (a constant in physics)
It can be subdivided into 100 cm, or 10 dm, or 1000 mm. or multiplied times 1000 into a kilometer and other decimal subdivisions. Therefore, adding or multiplying or dividing in the metric system is just a matter of addition, multiplication, division etc. of simple changing the position of the decimal dot. The simplicity, speed, precision and convenience of such operations is literally amazing when the two systems are compared.
Temperatures:
(A.S.) 0˚ F (Fahrenheit) was erroneously believed to be the freezing point of a saline solution.
100˚F was erroneously chosen as the temperature of our body or blood (I forgot)
(M.S.) 0˚C (centigrade) is the freezing temperature of distilled (pure) water at sea level (it is different at different heights).
100˚ C is the temperature of boiling distilled water at sea level
Countless other measurements are so completely influenced by the awkwardness of the American system and reliable simplicity and precision of the metric system that scientists and laboratories from the most modest to the highest technology now work only with the metric system.
Much more could be shown here, but this is not the place to articulate such matters at length.
The point is, however, that, be it for practical, traditional, political and other reasons, or for almost incurable public ignorance, we are keeping our technology in a straitjacket of a handicapped system of measurements.
Perhaps I am wrong, but I consider it unforgivingly "stupid".

"PRIVATE PROPERTY"
Private property is the touchstone of our our American society, beside the original Liberty, Fraternity, Equality.
Yet, taxes transform our private property into a stiff, ruthless rented object:
The government simply requisitions our property if we don't pay the tax (=rent), and evicts us as any renter.
The government is worse than any normal landlord who maintains and repairs the rental property . The "property owner" is normally subject to penalties and eventually expropriation if he doesn't maintain and repair his property according to government imposed rules.
