Born 1924 in Italy, raised and educated initially in Europe. Moved 1952 to South America; 1955 to USA, where I started learning English. American citizen since 1960. Married, with 8 children of which one died in a car accident and one in a yacht accident). Chemist, occasional writer,  bookworm, businessman, sailor, photographer, fencer, aging athlete, sky-diver (June 2004, at age 80 plus 6 months), poor classical pianist.

Over 20 years of formal humanities and science education and beyond. 8 languages (now fluent in only 5), director of chemical research for a large corporation, founder, sole owner and C.E.O.  of a small international chemical  manufacturing, research and exporting corporation since 1959 (<www.Abatron.com>), not connected with this web site).
Affected with "wet macular degeneration" (a form of blindness) since 2004, I have to use any available electronic, optical and computer devices to continue life and work almost "like before", but I need a driver for my car and someone for anything that requires better vision than mine....

I think you and I may have something to share that should emerge to join what we might know some time.

At death, we, the drops, will rejoin the infinite ocean.
